John Thomas Esmon

Dr. John Thomas Esmon, 90, passed away March 28, 2012. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on June 18, 1921 to John A. and Isabella Esmon, both deceased. He graduated from Indiana University and the Indiana University School of Dentistry. He was elected to the Honorary Fraternity of Omicron Kappa Upsilon and The American College of Dentists. He retired after 45 years in private practice. He served in the United States Navy as a dentist in World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Church of Christ where he had served as a deacon and elder. Dr. Esmon was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Richard Esmon. He is survived by his wife, Betty Askin Esmon. They were married August 23, 1943. Also, son J. Thomas Esmon, Jr and his wife Genia of Franklin, and daughter Sally J. McWilliams and husband Ken of Madison, Indiana, 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, a sister, Charlotte Jane Walter of Indianapolis, Indiana and many loving nieces and nephews.
