John Raymond Chinners

John Raymond Chinners 72, of Sylva, passed away on Saturday March 12th. John was born on September 19, 1949 to the late Murray Chinners and Ada Kinkaid Chinners. John loved the Lord and was a member and very active in Live Forgiven Church in Sylva. He loved to garden and work on equipment.

He is survived by his wife of twenty-five years, Janet Hall Chinners; two children; John R. (Melissa) Chinners, Jr. of Perry, Florida, and Michelle (Dean) Smith of Lake Worth Florida; two step children, Jennifer (Christopher) Boehme and Brian Jinks, both of Virginia Beach, Virginia; his grandchildren, Colton (Ashley) Chinners, Cassandra Isaacs, Brittney Boehme, Steven Smith, Justin Boehme, Caitlyn Smith; and a great granddaughter, Kayelyn Chinners. He is also survived by one brother, Eddie Chinners; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his dog, Freckles.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 17th at Live Forgiven Church.
