Joe Bryson McClure

Joe Bryson McClure, 75, of Sylva died Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Homestead in Clyde, NC. Joe was born December 3, 1937 in Jackson Co. NC. He is the son of the late Raymond and Nettie (Bryson) McClure. He was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis G. McClure in 2005 and three brothers Jack. Glenn, and Clarence McClure and a sister Ruby McClure Joe was an avid wood worker. He served in the Marine Corps from 1955 to 1961. He was a retired pipe fitter for Duke Energy. He is survived by; a daughter Sherry and her husband James Rogers of Sylva and a Son Brian and his wife Melinda McClure of Sylva and a granddaughter Savannah Phillips and grandson Conner McClure. one Sister; Betty Nowlin of Sylva and two brothers; Roy of Sylva and Gene McClure of Asheville. A graveside service will be held Sunday, April 21st at 3:00 pm at Parris Cemetery, Sylva, NC. Special thanks to WNC Cancer Center and Med West Hospice.
