Jim Bo Bingham, 69, of Sylva, passed away Tuesday January 31, 2017 at his home surrounded by his friends and family. A native of Jackson County he was the son of the late Luther and Charlotte Jenkins Bingham. He was a member of Long Branch Baptist Church but attended Old Savannah Baptist Church. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. What he enjoyed most was spending time with his family and friends. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his brother George Whitaker.
He is survived by;
2 sons- James Ricky Bingham (Michelle) of Alabama
Eddie Bingham (Buffy) of Waynesville
Daughter- Maria Caldwell (Michael) of Waynesville
Mother of his children- Betty Sue Bingham of Dillsboro
6 Grandchildren- Robbie Caldwell, Jace Bingham, Tyler Bingham, Trent Bingham, MaKenzie Caldwell and Kayla Bingham
Sister- Ellen Taylor (Mack) of Bryson City
Lifelong Friend- Joe Arvey
Funeral Services will be held 7:00 pm Saturday, February 4, in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Revs. Austin Frady and Derrick Frady officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 prior to the Service at the Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held the following day, Sunday, at 1:00 pm at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Sylva.
