A faerie gained her wings in another realm Thursday morning August 14, 2014 when a house fire took her life. Jennifer Ludwig AKA Lee Mayer was a passionate artist, warrior spirit and dedicated mother with a fire personality. 32 year old, J Lee was also Co-owner of a business she was building with her sister, making soaps and body products, and made a connection with the community at Uncle Bill's flea market where they sold their wares.
She is survived by her father, Randy Mayer, 3 daughters, Charity Owens, Abigal Owens, and Aurora Mayer-Putnam, her 3 sisters, Bambi Ludwig, Rhiannon Mayer and McKenzie Mayer, her 2 brothers, Shawn Koerber and Skyler Koerber.
Inspired by the elements of the community, strength and the natural beauty of the mountains she truly stepped into the light of her new existence here in Cullowhee NC. Her sister Bambi will continue the work of the Vine Faeries and let the magick that J Lee created continue to bless the lives of those around her.
A candle light celebration of life will be held Sunday, August 24, 2014 at 6:00 PM at East La Porte Park, 6912 Highway 107, Cullowhee, NC. Please bring a candle.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Appalachian Funeral Services, 165 Skyland Drive, Sylva, NC 28779, to assist the family with funeral expenses or to the J. Lee Ludwig Memorial Fund, c/o Lisa B. Allen (864-616-5631) lisalewsplace@gmail.com
