James (Jim) William Alexander, Jr., 79, of Tuckasegee, NC, passed away on Sunday April 5, 2020, after an extended illness.
Jim was the son of the late James William, Sr., and Kathryne Bodenheimer Alexander. He was a graduate of St. Bernard Preparatory School, attended the University of Georgia and was a retired Sales Representative for Ply-Gem Industries. Jim was a Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus and a member of St. Mary, Mother of God Roman Catholic Church of Sylva. Before moving to Tuckasegee, Jim served as a Fire Fighter for the Dawson County Volunteer Fire Department.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Charlotte Kelley Alexander of the home is a daughter Anastasia Alexander Crain and husband, Scott of Gainesville, GA; a son, Nathan Alexander and wife, Sheila of Inman, SC; and his grandchildren, Claire Crain, Will Crain, Andrew Alexander and Avery Alexander. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his sister, Kathryne (Kappy) King and his beloved pet, Molly Jane.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
