Irving William Gazda

William "Bill" Gazda, 72, of Fontana Lake, passed away Thursday June 26, 2014 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. A native of Western New York, he was the son of the late Casimer and Lillian Doughty Gazda. He retired with his wife to Western North Carolina to be near good walleye fishing grounds as well as his love of mountain hiking. He was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Cullowhee. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Anita Jo Gazda 2 Daughters- Meg and her husband Christopher Novak of Chicago, Illinois Karen and her husband John Boyne of Raleigh, NC 1 Son- David Gazda and his wife Jen of Charlotte 5 Grandchildren- Courtney, Trevor and Amber Gazda, Jack and Libby Boyne 1 Sister- Jan Turner of Charlotte A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday July 5 at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Cullowhee with the Rev.
