Irene Wike

Irene Wike 84 of Cullowhee went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday December 13, 2023. She was born on November 17, 1939 in Jackson County to the late Hayes and Lonella Hooper Wike. Irene loved sitting on her porch, her pets, family photos, flowers, and her dolls. She loved spending time with family.

Irene is survived by sisters; Gladys Webb (Walter "Boogie"), Sandra Heatherly, Lois Stiles (Donnie); brothers, Dean Wike (Brenda), Ray Wike (Pat); and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Wike (Bobbie), an infant brother, Dewey Wike, and a nephew, Stevie Wike.

A private graveside service will be held on Monday, December 18th at Wike Cemetery with the Rev. Jeff Powell officiating.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
