Hugh Bert Bryson

Hugh Bert Bryson, 69, of Asheville, formerly of Sylva passed away Monday, March 17, 2014 at Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville, NC. Hugh was born November 21, 1944 in Jackson County, NC. He is the son of the late Hugh Bert and Hazel (Turpin) Bryson. Hugh was a U.S.Navy Veteran. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Dorcas Bryson and by a brother, Mike Bryson. He is survived by his wife Sue Bryson of Candler 5 Sisters- Dorothea Coe and Nancy Decker of Sylva, Dixie Miller of Berkley Springs, WVA, Sara Hall of Virginia Beach and Glenda Crawford of Plasida, Fla. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday March 22 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Revs. Charles Jackson and Daniel Styles officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2:00 PM prior to the Service at the Funeral Home. Military Graveside will be held by American Legion Post 104 of Sylva.
