Horace Ray

Horace Ray 86, of Sylva died Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Skyland Care Center in Sylva, NC. Mr. Ray was born October 26, 1926 in Swain County, NC. He is the son of the late John and Mary (Gillespie) Ray and was preceded in death by one brother, Clyde Ray. He is survived by his wife: Cora Lee (Frizzell) Ray; one daughter Joy and husband Michael Queen of Cullowhee; two step sons Gerald and wife Becky Seagle of Sylva and David Seagle of Sylva; one step daughter Betty Golden of Cullowhee; two grandsons-Curtis and wife Heather Queen of Cullowhee and Kevin and wife Sally Queen of Gastonia; five great granddaughters and several step grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 PM Saturday March 2, 2013 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Rev. Steve Webb officiating. The family will receive from 5:00 until 7:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date.
