Hilda F. Wilkes

Hilda F. Davis Wilkes, age 76, Sylva died Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at Med West Harris of Sylva. Mrs. Wilkes was born August 15, 1935 in Jackson County. She is the daughter of the late William McKinley and the late Ella Mae Nations Davis. She was preceded in death by Perry and Ruth Davis. She was employed by as a production worker with Dayco. She is survived by a son, Mitch Wilkes of Sylva; a daughter, Mary Ruff of Waynesville; a brother, Jim Davis of Sylva; two sisters, Alice Walker of Sylva, and Lois Parker of Atlanta, GA; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. The funeral will be held 12:00 pm on Saturday, April 28 at Appalachian Funeral Services, 165 Skyland Drive, Sylva, NC with Rev. Earl Holden officiating. Burial will be in Barkers Creek Cemetery, Whittier. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 28 from 11:00 - 12:00 noon before the funeral.
