Henry Damond Brewer

Henry Damon Brewer, 82, of Spruce Pine, NC, died on October 1, 2024.

Born in Yancey County, NC, to the late Ralph Henry Brewer and Ethel Pauline Gouge; in addition to his parents Henry is also preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Leslie Glenn, son-in-law John Combs, brothers Julian Frank, Gurney, Ben and Bill Brewer. 

Surviving are his daughters Katrina Combs of Greenville, NC, and Lisa Wiggins (James) of Bryson City, NC, and sisters Eloise Harding (JC) and Jane Allen (Ken). Henry had six grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren. Henery also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. 

 In lieu of flowers, the family is kindly encouraging memorial donations may be made to The Gideons International (C/O Mitchell County Camp, Po Box 611, Spruce Pine, NC, 28777).

The family will hold a Celebration of Life at Glenn Cemetery at a later date.
