Heather Ann Dunlow

Heather Spence Dunlow went home to be with the Lord on December 1, 2024.

A native of Carrsville, Virginia, she attended Windsor High School. Heather moved to Cullowhee in 2015 and worked for Walmart in Sylva for over nine years as a travel associate. She assisted with many remodels throughout Western North Carolina. She was an active member of Webster Baptist Church, Trunk or Treat and Christmas were her favorite times of year. Heather was an avid crafter, had a green thumb, enjoyed books and butterflies.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ann Spence of Carrsville, Virginia, as well as her niece Stephanie Smith of Havelock, NC.

Heather leaves behind the love of her life for 38 years, Richard “Ricky” Dunlow. three sons, Scotty (Amanda) of Clayton, NC; Ryne (Marissa) of Hendersonville, NC and Mark Dunlow of Cullowhee, NC. She is survived by four grandsons, Maverick, Remington, Logan and Richmond Dunlow, as well as a brother Leslie Spence (Cindy) of Tennessee. She will be sorely missed by in laws, Judy “Dee” Council (James) and David “Brian” Dunlow (Melanie) with whom she was very close.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, December 7, at 2:00pm at Webster Baptist Church in Sylva NC, with a visitation at 1:00pm. Services will be officiated by Rev. Scott Carter.
