Harry Emerson Cope

Harry Emerson Cope, age 80, of Sylva died Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at Mountain Trace Nursing Center in Sylva, NC. Mr. Cope was born November 30, 1931 in Jackson County, NC. He is the son of the late Luscious and the late Nellie (Blanton) Cope and was preceded in death by two brothers Bill Cope and Wilburn Cope a stepbrother Brian Melton. He is survived by one son Charles Cope, one brother Lester Cope of Quinlan, TX and one sister Cleatus Chacon of Roseburg, and one granddaughter Rebecca Cope of Sylva. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday November 5, 2012 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Rev. Earl Holden, Rev. Robert Blanton and Rev. Johnny Norris officiating. Burial will be in the Norman Cemetery. In Lieu of Flowers donations are requested to Appalachian Funeral Services for his funeral expenses. . .
