Harold Norman

Harold Norman, 65, of Sylva died Thursday, March 15, 2012 at home in Sylva. Mr. Norman was born March 7, 1947 in McDowell County, NC. He is the son of the late Charlie and Mary Lou (Jones) Norman. He was the Head Pressman at the Sylva Herald for 44 years. Harold loved to hunt and fish and liked watching fast pitch softball and was a member of the Webster Baptist Church. Harold was a retired member of the Sylva Fire Dept. He is survived by his wife: Lib(Bumgarner) Norman and one son Toby Norman of Sylva and one brother Gene Norman of Horse Shoe, NC The Funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, March 18, 2012 at Appalachian Funeral Services Chapel with Rev. Earl Holden and Rev. Charles Dean officiating. Burial will be in Keener Cemetery. The Family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM Sunday prior to the service.
