Harold William Frady

Harold William Frady, age 81 of Cullowhee went home to his Lord and Savior December 5, 2023. He passed away at home with his wife “Hun” Eloise by his side. He was born on July 15, 1942, to the late Ottis Frady and Bonnie Claybo Frady.

He was a loving husband to “Hun” Eloise for 60 years plus, the best dad, and the greatest papaw. He loved tinkering with old cars, making silver rings, using his chainsaw to carve animals, watching western movies, making music by playing his guitar and harmonica, singing, and telling stories of the days gone by.  He enjoyed spending time with his family.

Harold was known throughout the community; his house was always open to anyone and whenever you saw him, he had a smile on his face. He was the founder and owner of Frady’s Floor Sanding and Painting. He was a member of Unity Baptist Church.

He will be greeted in heaven by those who went before him his son Johnny Frady, grandsons Thomas Algard II, Keith Meeks, brother “Goob” Howard Frady, sisters Carrie Mae Rickman, and Leona Dryer.

He will be waiting with open arms for those he leaves behind including his wife “Hun” Eloise Hoyle Frady, his sister Margaret (Keith) Whittington, children “Bo” Jamie (Jeneen) Frady, “Quettie” Leaquetta (James) Algard, “Hoot” Allen (Pam) Frady, Amy (Harley) Frady, daughter-in-law Beverly Hoxit Frady, a special nephew Michael (Deiderah) Queen, grandchildren Gabe (Jasmyne) Frady, Keaston (Rebekah) Evitt, Taylor (Tyler) Hasler, Kendra “Boo” (Kayla) Key, Ott (Mayson) Frady, Isabella Frady, Garrett, Brier (Tasha), Kinley Nations, many great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

He was well loved and will be missed especially by his wife “Hun”, children, family, and friends.

A celebration of Harold's life will be held Saturday December 9, 2023 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 prior to the celebration.
