Gussie (Gus) R. Robinson

Gussie (Gus) R. Robinson, age 73, of Cullowhee died Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at Mountain Trace Nursing Center of Sylva, NC. Mr. Robinson was born September 10, 1939 in Old Fort, TN. He is the son of the late Earl and the late Gracie (Wilcox) Robinson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Hoyle and Walter Robinson. He was the owner of Independent Pain and Body Shop in Sylva for 27 years. He is survived by five daughters: Michele Porter and husband Jeff of Cullowhee, NC, Tina Robinson of Tuckasegee, NC, Annette Robinson of Johnstown, NY, Cathy Messer and Angie Messer, both of Franklin, NC; two brothers Lloyd Robinson of Benton, TN, and Larry Robinson of Cleveland TN; two sisters, Wanda Spencer of Rossville, GA and Deborah Miller of Huntsville, TN; nine grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held in Benton, TN. at Higgins Funeral Home Saturday December 29, 2012 at 3:00 PM the family will receive two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. . .
