Geraldine Queen

Geraldine Painter Queen, 10/27/1944 – 10/02/2015, "70 years Old", after fulfilling her last wish to be at home with her children and family, she peacefully went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ. Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband Cecil C. Queen, her mother Lizzie Nicholson McCoy, her dad Russell Painter, her son Tony Cecil Queen, her brother Ben Henson, her stepson Kenny Queen, 2 step daughters; Geneva Queen Moore and infant Audrey Queen and her step grandson Jesse Lee Owen. She is survived by Son Russell Queen and wife Lynn, Son Perry Queen, Daughter Marvellia Queen Ross and her husband Jim, Son Happy Queen and wife Karen, Daughter Tina Queen Horton and husband Shannon. 2 Stepsons Keith Queen and wife Linda, Terry Queen and wife Debbie 3 Stepdaughters Brenda Queen Morgan, Sylvia Queen McCall and husband Ralph, Gaynelle Queen Owen and husband Joe. 2 Sisters- Betty Henson Scott and Molly Henson Leonard 3 Brothers- Rick Henson, Mike McCoy and wife Jennifer, Randy McCoy and wife Lynn 10 Grandkids and several step grandkids 16 Great Grandkids and several Great stepkids. Geraldine truly loved and cherished each and every one. She was a mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all. She was very active in 4H, Jackson County Headstart and enjoyed crafts, making dolls, wreaths, cakes and was a wonderful caregiver to many. Funeral Services will be held 3:00 pm Tuesday October 6 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Revs. Keith Queen and Eddie Stillwell officiating. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00PM at the Funeral Home. Geraldine will be laid to rest at Queen Cemetery-Sol's Creek in the Little Canada Community. Pallbearers will be Robert Logan, Chris Queen, DJ Aiken, Tyler Townsend, Anthony Henson and Randall Conner, Tim Henson will serve as an alternate.
