Geraldine Dockins

Geraldine Dockins (Gregory), age 80 of Sylva NC, passed away on Saturday December 9, 2023.   She was born on April 11, 1943, in Jackson County, to the late Henry & Lorraine Messer Gregory.

Geraldine lived her life as a hard worker who loved Jesus and her church.

She will be dearly missed by her loving son, James “Jimmy” Dockins and wife, Melanie; sisters, Frankie Burrell, Mary Sue Burns and husband, Mitchell, Lea Gates; grandchildren, Tyler Dockins and wife, Kristen, Kam Dockins, Brianna Dockins; and great-grandchildren, Riley & Adley Dockins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Donald Dockins.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 1:00PM on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at Appalachian Funeral Services, Sylva NC with a Funeral Service at 1:00PM. Revs. Gary Moore and Eddie Stillwell, officiating.   Interment will follow at Locust Field Cemetery, 326 Macktown Rd., Sylva NC.
