Gerald Phillip Seagle

Gerald P. Seagle, 61 of Sylva, went to be with his Heavenly Father, Tuesday, June 23, 2015. A native and lifelong resident of Jackson County, he was the son of the late Guy Seagle and Cora Ray. He enjoyed ginseng and ramp digging; he was a member of Piney Mountain Baptist Church, loved his grandkids and just loved church and loved life. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his first wife, Elle Mae, step-father, Horace Ray and brother, Fred Thomas Seagle. Gerald is survived by his wife, Rebecca Seagle, two daughters; Sherry Lynn Owle (Ernesto) of Cherokee and Lillie Mae Seagle (Benito) of Webster, his grandchildren; Phillip, Reyna, Korrina Owle, and Benito Ray Mendia, his twin brother, David Earl Seagle and one sister, Betty Jean Elliott. Several nieces and nephews also survive. A Memorial Service will be held 3:00 pm, Friday, June 26, 2015 at Piney Mountain Baptist Church. . .
