Gaynell Amerson

Gaynell Ann Marteeny Webb Amerson, 72, Sylva, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 8, 2012. She was raised and lived in Umatilla, FL until she moved to Sylva in 1986. She worked at Umatilla Elementary School and the Lake County School Board office in Tavares until her retirement. She also worked locally at the Dillsboro Smokehouse. Gaynell was predeceased by her parents, Clyde and Ann Marteeny. Survivors include her sister, Melissa Marteeny of Umatilla, FL; daughters, Debra Webb Caldwell of Eustis, FL, Lisa Webb (Robert Seeley) of Pigeon Forge, TN, Lori Webb Huckabee, of Sylva; grandchildren, Rhiannon Blair Peacock, James Dillon Caldwell, Ashley Webb, Kyle Cain (Stacey), and Jessie Johns; great grandchildren, Autumn Blair, Caitlin Torres, Michael Peacock, Urban Webb, Rilynn Cain, and Colton Cain; and a special cousin, Shirley Shaffer Hampton. The family will hold a private memorial at a later date. Donations may be made in Gaynell's memory to Alzheimer's research orto a Humane Society in your local area.
