Frances Roberta Stacy

Frances Roberta Stacy, beloved wife of Carl Dewayne Stacy of 45 years, passed away on September 13, 2024. Born on November 15, 1949, she was a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.

Frances is survived by her daughter, Jessica Betty, and her Special son, Ari Betty. She was the proud grandmother of Elijah Smoker, Carolyn Betty and her boyfriend, Nick, and Josie Smoker and her boyfriend, Blake. She also adored her great-granddaughter, Baylee Aurora Mills, who brought her immense joy.

Roberta was a retired employee of a textile factory and Walmart, where she worked diligently throughout her career. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Birdie Ann Ammons, Betty Jean Ammons, William "Bill" Carter, Robert Carter, and infant brother Frank Carter. She was also preceded by her loving parents, James Robert Carter and Annie Bennett Carter.

She is survived by her sisters: Sarah Carter Coggins, Janie Ruth Pastorius, and Linda Sue Lovedahl. Roberta held her family and friends close to her heart, and she was the heart of the family, often hosting gatherings where her famous candy and pumpkin rolls were eagerly anticipated. She had a generous spirit, always willing to share what she had with anyone in need.

Roberta found her greatest happiness in the company of her loved ones, and she was especially excited about the arrival of her great-granddaughter, Baylee. Her kindness, warmth, and generosity will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.

The Family will begin to receive friends and family at 1:00PM on Wednesday September 18, 2024 at Appalachian Funeral Services, Sylva NC. Funeral Service will follow at 2:00PM.
