Frances O'telia Penland

Frances Potts Penland, age 87 of Sylva, NC passed away Monday July 27, 2015. She is the daughter of the late Hubert and Minnie Potts. She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Penland who passed away in 2003. She was an active member of the Woman's Missionary Society. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her dog Babe. She is survived by one daughter Sarah Grant and husband Jim; one grandchild Jamey Grant and wife Stephanie; two great grandchildren Clayton and Mason Grant. She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will be held Wednesday July 29, 2015 at 11:00 am at Loves Chapel United Methodist with Rev. Scott Courtney and Rev. Ryan Snider officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Loves Chapel United Methodist Church c/o General Fund, 41 Lovedale Rd. Sylva, NC 28779 or to Four Season Hospice, 215 N Main St, Hendersonville, NC 28792.
