Eva Mae Alexander Green, 90, of Sylva, passed away Saturday February 4, 2017. A native of Gaston County, she was the daughter of the late Albert Aaron and Mary Lineberger Alexander. Retired from the Jackson County Board of Elections, Eva Mae enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing, crafting and flowers. She was a member of Sylva First Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years at the time of his passing Henry Floyd Green, a son; Fred Allen Green, and siblings; Thomas William Alexander, John Aaron Alexander, Minerva Alexander and Charles Ray Alexander.
She is survived by 2 of her three triplets; Floyd Lee Green and his wife Andi of Sylva
Lloyd Ray Green and wife Bruce Ann of Sylva
Grandsons- Brandon Floyd Green and wife Tiffany of Sylva
Aaron David Green and fiancée Deanna Lanier of Sylva
Great Grandchildren- Logan Everette Green, MaKayla Brooke Green, Kasyn Everly Green
Sister- Rebecca Jane Wilson of Sylva
Funeral Services will be held 3:00 pm Wednesday February 8 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Rev. Blake Daniel officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 prior to the Service at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Greens Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Savannah Volunteer Fire Department, 18 Ralph Tatham Rd, Sylva, NC 28779 or to Greens Creek Cemetery Fund, address to be provided when needed. Pallbearers will be members of the Savannah Volunteer Fire Department. The family would like to express their gratitude and thank the Staff at Morningstar Assisted Living for all their care and love. The family has requested that no food be provided for the family.
