Eulala Shular

Eulala Shular, age 85, of Cullowhee received her angel wings on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015. A lifelong resident of Jackson County, Ms. Shular was born July 1, 1930. She is the daughter of the late Wiley Winton and the late Vena (Price) Shular. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Jim, Clinton, David, Carlton, A B, and Eldon Shular, and sisters, Sally Henson and Agnes Shular. She is survived by two brothers, Doyle and Prelo Shular, and numerous nieces and nephews. She spent her life taking care of family and friends. She was a wonderful cook, and enjoyed quilting, digging ginseng, gardening, and loved reading her Bible. Although she had no children of her own, she had a hand in raising many. The funeral will be held 2:00 pm on Tuesday, October 20 at Appalachian Funeral Services, 165 Skyland Drive, Sylva, NC with Rev. Steve Webb officiating. Burial will follow in Balsam Grove Cemetery, Cullowhee. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. . .
