Eoma Henry

Eoma Luker Henry, 76, of Sylva, passed away Saturday evening February 8, 2020. A native and lifelong resident of Jackson County she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Della Mae Luker. Eoma was a Member of Sylva Assembly of God Church , where she put her faith and family first. She enjoyed doing her Mission work and giving more than receiving. She truly had a servants heart. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters. She is survived by her husband of 56 years George Perry Henry Sr. Daughters- Sherry (Roy) Rains of Sylva Teresa (Jeffery) Wheeler of Waynesville Son- George Perry Henry Jr. of Sylva Granddaughters- Jessica (Troy) Hall of Sylva, Victoria Wheeler of Waynesville Grandsons- Jonathan Rains of Sylva, Sean Wheeler of Waynesville Great Grandson- Daniel Hall Great Granddaughter- Lorelai Hall Sisters- Doris Franks of Tuckasegee, Dorothy(David)Henry of Sylva, Glana(Arnold)Vickers of Cullowhee, Martha Lou(David)Fisher of Tuckasegee, Carolyn "Susie"(Steve)Cooper of Waynesville, Brothers- RA(JoAnn)Luker, Daniel(Gladys)Luker, Leonard(Leona)Luker, Michael Luker, Clifton "Chubb"(Brenda)Luker, Randy(Ellen) Luker, Paul(Rebecca)Luker all of Tuckasegee Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday February 12, 2020 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Revs. Leonard "Doc" Luker and Jason Bryson officiating. The family will be receiving friends Tuesday evening February 11 from 6:00 till 8:00 pm at Appalachian Funeral Services. Burial will be in Shook Cemetery.
