Elizabeth Jean Watkins

Elizabeth Jean Watkins, 68, of Sylva, passed away Monday April 27, 2015. A native of Bogalusa, La., she was the daughter of the late Loys and Inez Marshall. She enjoyed fishing and doing craftwork and absolutely loved her grandkids. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by 3 sisters, Kathy Marshall, Deborah Rester and Diana Moore. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Alan Watkins of Sylva 2 Sons- Allen Watkins Jr. of Bremen, GA. James Watkins and his wife Christine of Sylva 1 Daughter- Anjanette Cochran and her husband Stanley of Bryson City 4 Grandchildren- Michael Watkins, currently serving in the U.S. Navy, Jessica Watkins, Emily Watkins and Catherine Watkins 1 Brother- Milton Marshall of Pearl River, LA A Memorial Service will be held 3:00 PM Saturday May 2 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Dillsboro with the Rev. Tommy Ashe officiating. The family will receive friends following the Service at the Church. .
