Elizabeth "Libby" Bumgarner Norman

Elizabeth “Libby” Bumgarner Norman, 76 of Sylva, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2022. Libby was born on May 18, 1946 in Haywood County to the late Tyra Coleman Bumgarner and Ruth Potts Parris.

Libby enjoyed sitting on her porch waving at people driving by her house. She loved arts/crafts, cooking shows, and hand making baskets. Libby loved the Lord. She attended Loves Chapel Methodist Church.

Libby is survived by her son, Toby Norman (Myra Gillespie).

In addition to her parents, Libby is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Norman; sister, Joyce Bumgarner.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday, June 8, 2022, in the chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services. Burial will follow at Keener Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
