Eddie Allen Bradley

Eddie Allen Bradley, 80, of Sylva, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at Mission Hospital.

Eddie was a native of Jackson County and a son of the late Allen "Shady" and Eva Sutton Bradley.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Marshall "Mitch" Bradley and a son-in-law, Robbie Robinson.  Eddie was a member and a deacon of Calvary Baptist Church in Sylva.  He was in the first graduating class to graduate from Sylva Webster High School in 1961 and was also the first graduating class at AB Tech for bricklaying/masonry. Eddie moved to Cobb County, Georgia and worked as a brick mason and was a firefighter with the city of Marietta, GA.  He was an Atlanta Braves baseball fan, a UNC Tarheel fan and he enjoyed watching rodeos on television.

He is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Wanda Hyatt Bradley; a daughter, Martha Robinson; son, Chris Bradley (Rosie); and three grandchildren, Megan Robinson, Madison Bradley, and Asa Bradley.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 21, 2024 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services.  Burial will follow at Old Savannah Cemetery.  Revs. Justin Hall, Dennis Burrell, and Roger Stewman, officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
