Dulane Fred Elders

Dulane Fred Elders, age 77, of Sylva died Monday, July 28, 2014 at home in Sylva. Dulane was born August 29, 1936 in Jackson County, NC. He is the son of the late Fred and the late Flora Mae (Ridley) Elders. Dulane loved hunting and fishing and his grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Donald and Doyle Elders and by two sisters, Doris Arvunice and Delcia Mae. He is survived by his wife: Janet (LaCoe) Elders and a daughter Michelle and Ray Farmer of Whittier, sons; Dulane A. and Cassie Elders , Christopher and Amee Elders of Sylva, Step-son Rusty LaCoe of Kunkletown PA., sons; Fred and Terri Elders, Robert Elders of Greentown PA, Wayne Elders of Newfoundland, PA , Dallas Elders of Carbondale, PA as well as daughters; Carol and Jeff Head of Greentown PA, Debbie and John Faultz of Long Pond, PA, Tanya Elders of Honesdale, PA and Flora and Barry Hendershot of Sylva. Brother- Delmer Elders of Newfoundland, PA. Sister- Diane Stevenson of Scranton, PA. 29 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren also survive. The funeral will be held 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Appalachian Funeral Service Chapel, with Rev. Bo Brown officiating. Burial will be in Dicks Creek Cemetery, Family will receive friends Friday, August 1 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Appalachian Funeral Services Online register at www.appalachianfuneral services.com .
