Dillon was called to be with the Lord on Friday July 9, 2021. He was 22 years young. Dillon was born on August 4, 1998, in Sylva, NC. Dillon was raised by his parents, Jeremy and Deena (Rodgers) Moore, also of Sylva. Dillon served proudly in the U.S. Army stationed out of Fort Hood, Texas.
Dillon was an outgoing and generous man known in the community as “Skippy.” When he was not working, he was playing with his daughter, Baylor; having a date night with his wife, Claudia; at the lake with his family; or fishing with buddies.
Dillon was an avid hunter and fisherman. Always ready to cast a hook or sit in a stand. Dillon was notorious for being known as the life of the party with such a huge heart and the biggest smile on his face. He was a believer and a follower of Christ. His favorite bible verse was Psalm 23:4 “Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will not fear no evil, for thou art with me, thy rod and thy staff they comfort me,” which he had tattooed on his arm as an ever reminder of his faith. We are proud to have Dillon as our father, brother, son, and friend who made us better and stronger. We will never forget his loving ways.
Dillon is survived by his loving wife, Claudia (Crowe) Moore; daughter, Baylor Moore of the home; parents, Jeremy and Deena Moore; grandparents Glen and Diana Garlough; grandmother, Brenda Moore; brothers Jonathon and Hayden Moore; sister, Julie Moore; and his father-in-law, Chad Crowe.
He is preceeded in death by his grandfathers, Jim Moore, and Larry Rogers.
For his friends and family that mourn him, may this obituary ignite fond memories of Dillon who is smiling down upon us, hoping that we take a moment today to go catch some fish or shoot a turkey. When you see sweet Baylor, never forget to mention how much her daddy loved her. May we all keep his memories alive for her.
