Dicie Ann Crisp, age 97, of Jackson County, died peacefully on March 17, 2017 at Skyland Care Center after a period of declining health.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Anderson and Mary Womack; husband, Noah L. Crisp; a daughter, Juanita Edwards; and ten siblings.
She is survived by her son, Harold Crisp of Dillsboro and wife Shirley, and daughter Cleida M. Stroup of Clyde and husband William.
She is also survived by grandchildren Karen Stephens and husband, Wesley; Eddie Edwards; Barry Stroup and wife Debbie; and Greg Stroup and wife Julie. She also has three great grandchildren, Brandon, Kelly, and Emma; and one great – great grandson, Julian.
Dicie was a beloved mother and grandmother who, at an early age, was an exceptional homemaker, and in later years enjoyed viewing TV evangelism and listening to gospel music.
A funeral is scheduled for 2:00 on Monday, March 20 at Appalachian Funeral Services in Sylva, with Revs. Avery Brown, Eddie Stillwell, and Wesley Stephens officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Fairview Memorial Gardens.
