Cory Ethan Steele

Cory Ethan Steele, 36, passed away Tuesday July 22, 2014, at his beloved home in Glenville. Cory was the son of Judith, the general manager of the Comfort Inn in Sylva. He was born in Albany, NY. He lived in the many states his mother was transferred to, but he loved Western North Carolina the most. He was a "gentle giant" with a wonderful sense of humor, endured ongoing health challenges without complaint, and touched the lives of all he met. He is survived by his mother, stepbrothers and sisters, his uncles Lee Steele of Clemons, NY, and Max Steele of Downers Grove, IL, and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Ralph and Lora Steele and Uncle Ronald Steele of Clemons, NY. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Sunday July 27 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Rev. Avery Brown officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8:00 pm Saturday evening at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Clemons, NY. . .
