Cora Ethel Beasley

Cora Dean Beasley, age 88, passed away on November 5, 2015. Mrs. Beasley was born on May 7, 1927 to the late Dock W. and Allie Dills Dean. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Beasley was preceded in death by her husbands, Hubert Wesley Dean and Charles A. Beasley; her oldest daughter, Vivian Pauline Dean Ensley; a brother, Bengie Dean; a sister, Mamie Ledford; and her son-in-law, Lloyd Sellers. She is survived by two daughters, Patsy D. Parris (Bobbie) and Linda D. Sellers, both of Sylva; and seven grandchildren, Michael Ensley of Morganton, David Ensley of Augusta, GA, Mark Parris of Ardmore, TN, Kevin Sellers of Robbinsville, Vicki Todd, Beverly Gaddis and Kristin Smith, all of Sylva. Ten great-grandchildren, Aaron Parris, Kelli Sellers Chasteen, Kaitlin Ensley, Mackenzie Gaddis, Allie Smith, Allie Todd, Michael Todd, Jadden Smith, Hunter Ensley and Zoey Smith and one step great-grandson, John Smith also survive. Mrs. Beasley is also survived by one great great grandchild, Peyton Chasteen; sisters-in-law, Audrey Dean, Barbara Dean, and Wilda Dean, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 8, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Rev. Mike Fox, Rev. Roger Stewman and Rev. David Walker officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 7 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Appalachian Funeral Services.
