Clyde H. Brooks, 72, of Sylva, passed away Saturday April 2, 2016 after bravely battling a lengthy illness. A native and lifelong resident of Jackson County, Clyde was the son of the late Arthur Thad and Naomi Bradley Brooks. He worked at Drexel Heritage for 33 years and then started his own plumbing business until his retirement. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hiking in the Smoky Mountains National Park. Clyde also enjoyed attending Lovedale Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years Toni Kelly Brooks

Several nieces and nephews also survive
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday April 6 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Rev. Mike Farmer officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 2:00 prior to the Service at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens.
