Cindy Lee "Lou" Childers, age 60, of Glenville died Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Skyland Care Center in Sylva, NC. Mrs. Childers was born December 14, 1954 in Salem, NJ. Cindy loved shopping and gardening. Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Ray Jacobs, and step-father Dave Bloemer. She is survived by her husband: Jimmy Childers; her mother Betty (Rammel) Bloemer of Salem, NJ; One daughter, Morgan Childers of Cullowhee; One step-son, Andy Lopatin of Newark, Delaware. She is also survived by two sisters, Candy Jacobs of Glenville; Windy (Richie) Chuck of Lenior; Two brothers, Flint Jacobs of Newport, TN; Andy Jacobs of Strawberry Plains, TN, and her in-laws, the Childers family. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. The family would like to give special thanks to Patsy and her staff at DiVita Analysis for their care and compassion. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 22nd, 2015 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services, with the family receiving friends from 5pm until 7pm. Rev. Everett Wilson will be officiating. Appalachian Funeral Services has been entrusted with all arrangements.
