Christopher Gutierrez

Christopher Gutierrez, 31, of Whittier passed away Monday, February 27, 2012. A native of Miami, FL., he was the son of Martin ( Bert ) and Carolyn Gutierrez of Whittier., and has been a resident of Jackson County for over 20 years. He was a snowboard instructor and whitewater rafting guide and rescuer and a certified body piercer. He was an avid fisherman and outdoor enthusiast. He was preceded in death by his daughter Zoe Faith Gutierrez. Besides his parents he is survived by 3 brothers- Martin Gutierrez III, Michael Gutierrez and Gustavo Gutierrez 2 sisters- Jennifer Gutierrez and Yamilet Valdes . Nieces and nephews- Makayla, Martin IV, Isabelle, Aydon, Melina, Evan, Taylor and Kaitlyn Aunt and Uncle- September and Brian Owens His girlfriend Ashley Stewart Numerous aunts, uncles, Cousins nieces and nephews and friends also survive Funeral services will be held Friday March 2, 2012 at 5:00 PM in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Pastor Brandon Breedlove officiating.
