Christine Reeves Shuler

Christine Reeves Shuler, 88 of Sylva, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2022. Christine was born in Madison County on July 11, 1934 to the late Robert and Stella Reeves. Christine enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church.

Christine is survived by her daughters, Pamela Shuler of Sylva and Christy Shuler Campbell (Johnathan) of Gastonia, NC; sons, Marty Shuler (Lisa) of Matthews, NC and Mark Shuler of Sylva. Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive.

In addition to her parents, Christine is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Maurice Shuler, and daughter, Maurica West.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, in the chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services. Rev. Earl Holden will be officiating.  The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park in Waynesville, NC.
