Charles Edward Hall

Charles Edward Hall, age 89, of the Savannah Community, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus, on September 13, 2023, after a period of declining health.  He was the son of the late Robert Lee Hall and Drucilla (Sue) Quilliams Hall.    

Charles was born in West Virginia.  He worked for a time in the shipyards of Virginia, spent 11 years at Mead Corp., and was Owner & Operator of Hall's Custom Built Log Homes.  He was an avid bird and deer hunter and loved to fish. 

He is survived by his loving wife, Pearl Frances Lewis Hall; son, Charles Keith Hall and wife, Margaret; daughters, Pam Ashe, Connie Hooper and husband, Richard, eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law, David Wayne Ashe.

The Family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00PM on Sunday, September 17, 2023, at Appalachian Funeral Services, 165 Skyland Dr., Sylva NC, with a Funeral Service at 3:00PM. Revs. John Willis and Eddie Stillwell, officiating.   Interment will follow at Old Savannah Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers:  Jody Rhinehart, CB Hooper, Nathan Beck, Antonia Martinez, Armondo Acosta, and Kevin Bradley.
