Carl Hooper

Carl Hooper, age 78, of Cullowhee, passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021.

He was the husband of Connie (McCready) Hooper and son of the late Elmer and Irene (Bishop) Hooper.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Hooper of Cullowhee, NC; children Greg Hooper of Falls Church, VA and Brian Hooper of Poughkeepsie, NY; nephew Bob Brinson of New Bern, NC. 

He is preceded by his sister Sandra (Hooper) Brinson; and, niece Judy (Brinson) Conseen

Please join us for Carl’s Memorial/Celebration of Life which will be held on his 79th birthday, October 23rd, 2021. Where: Cullowhee Baptist Church.  Please note, masks are required inside the church.

When: Saturday, October 23, 2021, 11:30 AM If you have a special photo or fond story, please bring and share them with family and friends.  Please include contact information on the back of any photos to ensure they can be returned to you. In lieu of flowers, please donate in Carl’s name to Loving Food Resources https://www.lovingfood.org/ who provide boxed meals for Home Hospice patients.  CarePartners Hospice and Palliative Care were invaluable ensuring Carl was cared for and comfortable throughout his transition.  Additionally, the staff at Asheville’s Mission Hospital could not have been more patient, supportive or caring throughout the process and deserves our deepest appreciation.
