Carl Ray Dover

Carl Ray Dover, age 67, of Sylva died Thursday, August 20, 2015 at St. Joseph Campus Mission of Asheville, NC. Carl was born December 31, 1947 in Chester, SC. He is the son of the late Robert and Shirley (McPherson) Dover. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by two brothers, Dale and Robert (Butch) Dover, Jr. He was employed as a Lab Technician. He loved NASCAR, gardening, fishing, and the mountains. He was a member of Scotts Creek Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife: Mary Loretta (Ott) Dover; his mother Shirley (McPherson) Dover; a brother, Rick and Jane Dover, four stepchildren, 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Scotts Creek Baptist Church. A memorial service will be held Sunday August 30, 2015 at 2:00pm at Scotts Creek Baptist Church. . .
