Calvin Wayne Gunter

Calvin Wayne Gunter 78 of Sylva went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday December 3, 2024. He was born on May 18, 1946 to the late Calvin Hal Gunter and Betty Richmond Gunter.

In addition to his parents, Calvin was preceded in death by his grandfather, Garrett Gunter; grandmother, Pearl Wilkes; step grandmother, Bertie Gunter; uncle, Glenn Gunter; and two aunts, Freda Patmore and Reta Mae Shular. 

He is survived by cousins, Carolyn Coggins, Charlie Shuler, and Leonard Shuler; caregivers, Tammy and Mark Smathers; and a special friend, Linda Sue Shuler.

His family will hold private services on a later date.
