Brenda Gammon

Brenda Gammon, age 66, of Sylva died Sunday, May 3, 2015 at Homestead Hospice of Clyde, NC. Brenda was born October 25, 1948 in Colquitt County, GA. She is the daughter of the late Elster Aven and the late Ruth (Weldon) Brooks. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, James Arnold "Arny" Gannon; a sister, Lilly Ann Brooks; a brother, Johnny Brooks; and a granddaughter, Beverly Ann (Maxx) Walker. She was employed as the food manager for Santa's Land in Cherokee. She is survived by two sons, Michael Shane Gammon of Austin, TX, Christopher Brooks Gammon of Cullowhee, her daughter, Lisa Dawn Gammon-Walker of Cherokee; grandchildren James Stephen Ray Gammon, Alex Scott Kahdot Walker, Sommersey N'hoj Gammon; and a great grandson, James Alan Xaviar Gammon. No plans for a service have been made at this time. . .
