Brenda Clawson

Brenda Clawson, age 69, of Sylva, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 24, 2021 after a period of declining health. She was the daughter of the late Jim and Lillian Clawson.

A member of Laurel Branch Baptist Church, Brenda loved cooking, jigsaw puzzles, and especially enjoyed taking care of her nieces and nephews. She dearly loved her family.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one brother; LeRoy Clawson and three sisters; Lois and Joyce Clawson, and Shirley Mace.

Brenda is survived by one brother; Donald (Gail) Clawson, one sister; Patricia Tucker, and one sister-in-law; Mary Cook. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and one great great-nephew. A special friend and neighbor; Carolyn Frizzell also survives.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Laurel Branch Baptist Church in Sylva, NC with Rev. Carl Stepp officiating. Burial will follow in the Parris Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be given in Brenda's memory to the Laurel Branch Baptist Church 219 Laurel Branch Rd. Sylva, NC 28779.
