Bonnie Hooper Messer

Bonnie Hooper Messer, 63 of Sylva, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was born on July 18, 1960 to Radford and Wilma Broom Hooper. Bonnie enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, and spending time with her family.

Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Eva Messer; sisters, Barbara Jenkins of Candler and Sheila Hooper of Glenville; two nieces and three great nephews. Several cousins and friends also survive.

In addition to her parents, Bonnie is preceded in death by her husband, Benny Messer; brother, Randy Hooper; grandparents, Eva Broom and Ira Broom.

The family will receive friends on October 18, 2023 from 6:00-8:00pm at Appalachian Funeral Services.
