Bonnie Cope Carnes

Bonnie Cope Carnes, 68, of Whittier, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday evening October 27, 2022
A native a lifelong resident of Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Charlotte Cope.
Bonnie was a Member of Hyatts Chapel Baptist Church and had a very close community of friends at Church and also at the Jackson County Health Department. She loved walking in the mountains or stealing the grandchildren from their parents and taking them out to eat at the restaurant of their choice ! She would enjoy watching the Grandkids at the the baseball field, the football field, the softball field, the volleyball court, the basketball court, the track and field events or wherever they would be playing. She just loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. 
She is survived by her husband Cance Johnny Carnes
Daughter Lisa (Kenny) Melton of Sylva
Additional children include Melissa (John) Hill of Sylva, Karen (Ricky) King of Whittier, and  Josh (Scotti) Carnes of Sylva
Grandchildren; Kaitlyn and Daniel Melton, Morgan, Addie, Hannah, Joe, Wyatt, Inman and Davis
Her Brother; Ed (Shirley) Cope of Franklin
Nephew; Michael (Melissa) Cope
Great Niece; Kristin (Jake) McHan
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday November 2, 2022 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Rev. Eugene Ridley officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm till 2:00 prior to the Service at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be  Daniel and Kenny Melton, Wyatt Hill, Josh Carnes, John Hill and Ricky King.
