Bobby Lee Smathers

Bobby Lee Smathers, Sr., age 82, of Sylva passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2018. He  is the son of the late William Walter and the late Annie D (Conner) Smathers.  He was married to his wife of 62 years Pauline Young. 

In addition to his wife Pauline he is survived by four children Kathy Smathers, Bobby Smathers Jr. and wife Myra, Tim Smathers and Kevin Smathers; grandchildren Amy Shepherd and husband Chad, Jonathan Smathers, Josh Smathers, Caleb Smathers and Lydia Sitton and husband Austin; great grandchild Kailey Shepherd; sister Velma Lawry and husband Mick and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Bobby was preceded in death by two infant brothers, Charlie and William and one daughter in law Ginger Smathers.

Family will have friends over tonight and tomorrow night and private services will be held at the family’s request.
