Bobbie L. Henderson

Bobbie L. Henderson , age 74, of Whittier, NC, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2022, after a brief illness. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Margaret (Jones) Bradburn. She is survived by her husband, Ronnie, daughter Traci Clark granddaughter, Katlyn (Ed) Brahmer and great-granddaughter, Annelise.
A devoted member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church, Bobbie was the organist and pianist there since the age of 16. A lifelong resident of Jackson County, she was a proud double graduate of Western Carolina University (B.S. History Education, M.S. Chemistry and Physics). Bobbie enjoyed school so much, she taught high school almost 42 years.
She loved to serve her community.  Bobbie was an active member of the Gideon’s Auxiliary for many years.  She also managed the Qualla Community Building and was a trustee for Thomas Memorial Cemetery. 
After her retirement from teaching, she spent her free time traveling with her husband and helping others. Her greatest joy came in 2019, when she became a great-grandmother. 
Her impact on Jackson County through her service to others is immeasurable, she will be greatly missed. 
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 11:00 am at Shoal Creek Baptist Church in Whittier. Dr. Mickey Duvall and Rev Steve Jamison will officiate. Burial will follow in the Thomas Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the church.
