Betty Marie Sutton

Betty Sutton, age 72, of Sylva died Sunday, June 15, 2014 at Skyland Care Center in Sylva, NC. Mrs. Sutton was born August 18, 1941 in Jackson County NC. She is the daughter of the late Cecil and the late Margaret (Vance) Dillard and was preceded in death by a twin brother Bobby Joe and Bill Dillard and a sister Peggy McClure. She was a Teacher Assistant in the Jackson County Schools. She is survived by two daughters Teresa and husband Mick Dillard and Jody Woodring of Sylva and a daughter in heart Shelly Legg. One brother Arthur Dillard of Sylva and two sisters Audrey Dean and Nell Davis both of Sylva. Granddaughters Kristin and Vaughn Stevens and Trista McCoy Grandson Joshua Woodring and Great grandchildren Gage and Ryleigh Stevens and Kooper and Spencer McCoy. A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM Wednesday June 18, 2014 in the East Sylva Baptist Church with the Rev. Reed Benson and Charles Dean officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6until 8 PM Tuesday at Appalachian Funeral Services.
