Betty Johnson

Betty Johnson, age 81, of Sylva died Friday, March 22, 2013 at her home in Sylva. Betty was born April 4, 1931 in Jackson County. She is the daughter of the late Frank and the late Vella (Gribble) Buchanan. She was preceded in death by a brother RC Buchanan and a sister Ann Bell. She worked in the textile industry and later for Lays store in Sylva. She is survived by her husband: Walter Johnson of the home and one sister Margie Hooper of Cary, NC. A memorial service will be held Monday March 25, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Rev Eddie Stillwell officiating.
